Every folder and page from your sitemaps, with page counts and the newest update.

  • Sections

Your biggest sections side by side, so you can see where the content is.

  • Depth

Pages at each level, and URLs more than 4 levels deep.

  • Folders without a page

Paths like /blog/2024/ that hold pages but return nothing themselves.

  • Consistent URLs

Mixed trailing slashes, capitals, underscores, query strings and overlong slugs.

  • Sitemap hosts

URLs on another host, and URLs listed more than once.

Questions

Where does the structure come from?

From your XML sitemaps, found through robots.txt, /sitemap.xml or /sitemap_index.xml. We read up to 10 sitemap files and 10,000 URLs, so big sites show their largest sections. With no sitemap, we map the links on your home page.

How deep is too deep?

There’s no hard rule, but pages more than 4 levels down are usually harder to reach by clicking and get crawled less often. Link important pages from higher up, or flatten the folders.

What is a folder without a page?

A path like /blog/2024/ that has pages below it but isn’t a page itself. Visitors who trim the URL may hit a 404. Add an index page there or redirect it to the parent.

Can I export the tree?

Yes. Copy or download it as an indented outline, 2 levels, 3 levels or all, ready to paste into a doc or spreadsheet.
