Questions
How do you detect what a site is built with?
We load the page once, like a browser would, and look for fingerprints: response headers, the generator tag, script URLs and patterns in the markup. Each result lists the clue we found.
Why is a tool I know they use missing?
Some tools leave no trace in the page, or only load after a click. Sites can also hide their headers. We only list what we can actually see, so there are no guesses.
Is it OK to check another site’s technology?
Yes. We only read what the site sends to every visitor, the same as opening it in a browser.
